While many may consider the end of the driveway that flares out into the roads to be part of their property, work on the apron and any underlying culvert pipes is the responsibility of DPW. If a hydrant is on your property, consider clearing it up to 3 feet around, and a path out to the street. Snow build-up around hydrants can delay fire crews’ work significantly. While not officially required, the County will not clear the area around fire hydrants preemptively. However, you will often see residents with snowplows going through the roads as well, rather than wait for DPW, and also offer to clear your driveways (for a fee or for free). …Sinkholes? As has happened on Asher Rd and Cox Dr where sections of the road collapsed – creating not only a hazard but a closing off of some of the only 3 official access roads to this and neighboring developments – DPW. …Cracks? I didn’t scour the parts list exhaustively, but here are some that I picked out. The panels are 8 studs long and have the same slope as the classic large 1圆x3 1/3 arch.Ī number of elements also appear in new colors in this set. It’s molded in clear but printed with the shuttle’s distinctive array of six windows.įinally, the large Technic panels that make up the payload bay doors are also a new element (part 76798). There are just two used in the set, where they sit atop the cockpit.Īnd speaking of the cockpit, the six-stud-wide windscreen is also a new element (part 76796). The most exciting to me is this 3×3 curved corner slope (part 76797), because it opens up a lot of possibilities and fills a long-missing gap in this slope family. First up, there are three entirely new elements in the set. There are lots of exciting LEGO parts in the set. There’s also a double-sided vinyl sheet with punch-out solar panels for Hubble. The other sheet is vast swath of silver mirrors, which are used to mimic the silver Teflon thermal radiators on the inside of the shuttle payload bay doors. LEGO no longer prints on most sloped surfaces, though they used to–which is an oddity I’ll have to delve into another time. There are two sticker sheets one for the huge UCS-style info placards for Discovery and Hubble (you’ll be able to display them together or separately) along with a few small stickers that provide decoration on slopes. While most of the parts in the set are printed, the sticker sheets are still huge. There’s nothing in the build that a 14-year-old couldn’t accomplish quite handily, or even someone younger if they’re an experienced builder. As we’ve noted on previous reviews of LEGO’s newly branded Creator Expert sets, the 18+ rating is a marketing tactic meant to indicate these sets are targeting adult fans. Grab the inner box and the unnumbered bag and you’re ready to start building.Ī quick word on the 18+ age rating on the box. The inner box contains the instruction manual, sticker sheets, and bag numbers 1-8, while bags 9-17 and the unnumbered oversized parts bag are loose in the main box. The inner box helps the contents stay distributed during shipping, and I’m happy to say that LEGO has finally figured out sorting the bags by number. Unpack the hefty box and you’ll find a white inner box and a handful of bags, par for the course with LEGO’s top-end sets these days. Providing TBB with products for review guarantees neither coverage nor positive reviews. The LEGO Group sent The Brothers Brick an early copy of this set for review. Today we’re going to dive in with a full, hands-on review of this massive spaceplane. The new shuttle set is part of the Creator Expert lineup and will be available starting April 1, retailing for US $199.99 | CAN $269.99 | UK £169.99. LEGO is also celebrating 2021 being the 40th anniversary of the first shuttle flight. 10283 NASA Space Shuttle Discovery has 2,354 pieces and includes both the Discovery orbiter and the Hubble Space Telescope that Discovery launched on the STS-31 mission in April 1990 (the same year as LEGO’s first Space Shuttle set, 1682 Space Shuttle Launch). The latest set from LEGO is the largest and most detailed yet. LEGO Space Shuttles are a mainstay of the brand’s space themes, with the company having produced well more than a dozen models across a variety of scales, themes, and degrees of accuracy. But there’s something about the iconic design of NASA’s black-and-white reusable space plane that captures our imaginations and keeps drawing us back. That was a smart play against a tough lefty late in the game.” While Belt is a power hitter, he also is a good bunter, and Kapler had no problem with him squaring there, saying, “I was not surprised. Hopefully, he can come back really quick.” “We’ve got six games left they’re all very important. “It’s tough, obviously,” Gausman said of seeing Belt leave with an injury. But talking to him, he seems like he should be all right and hopefully not miss too much time.” “You need your hands they’re pretty important in baseball, especially his throwing hand. “It’s scary, especially when it’s a fastball or a hard pitch on a guy’s hand or fingers, because there are so many little bones in there that can break,” shortstop Brandon Crawford said. With the playoffs set to begin next week, any hand fracture for a hitter could knock him out for most, if not all, of the postseason. Belt will be examined further in San Francisco. The Giants improved their majors-best record to 102-54, their best winning percentage since 1913, and reduced their magic number to win the West to five with the second-place Dodgers remaining two games back after beating Arizona 3-0.īut on the day starter Kevin Gausman also appeared to rediscover his early-season form, there was one major concern: Brandon Belt, who leads the team with 29 homers and who has been the team’s hottest player, squared to bunt in the seventh and was hit by a pitch from Lucas Gilbreath.īelt left with a left thumb injury after the inning, and manager Gabe Kapler said X-rays were inconclusive. The sequence formulas are used to find the n th term (or) sum of the first n terms of an arithmetic or geometric sequence easily without the need to calculate all the terms till the n th term. What Are the Applications of Sequence Formulas? In the same way, n th term = a + (n - 1) d. If we observe the pattern here, the first term is a = a + (1 - 1) d, the second term is a + d = a + (2 - 1) d, third term is a + 2d = a + (3 - 1) d. i.e., it is of the form a, a + d, a + 2d. In an arithmetric sequence, the difference between every two consecutive terms is constant. How To Derive n th Term of an Arithmetic Sequence Formula? What is the best audio book for learning Spanish? We review the best Spanish audiobooks for beginner Spanish language learners. So what are the best free Spanish audiobooks for beginners? If you’re finding it difficult to follow along, start with a book that you’ve read before in English, then move on to something new. We promise that if you pick one appropriate to your skill level, you will have fun, and learn a lot while reading it. We picked these Spanish audiobooks because they’re practical but also fun. If you are thinking about learning Spanish for the first time, or you are just wanting a little bit of extra practice… I highly encourage you to check out this list of the best Spanish audiobooks (best of all, you can get them for free with an Audible trial). To me, it barely even feels like practice – it’s just fun. If you don’t practice for a while, you do get rusty so I like to keep it up. Nowadays, I even listen to Spanish audiobooks when I’m doing dishes or going for a long drive, just to brush up on my skills. It’s the next best thing to a full immersion study abroad program. You will learn how to speak and really understand Spanish. You will hear conversations, descriptions, thoughts, and feelings. You will never hear a weird sentence like that in a real Spanish audiobook. That way, she could hear real Spanish spoken in a real-world context. I immediately told her that she needed to listen to some Spanish-language audiobooks. Some Spanish language learning apps can be great, but not when they’re teaching you impertinent trash like that. Not only was this a completely useless sentence for her to be learning how to say in Spanish… I’m not even sure that’s scientifically accurate! I will never forget the first sentence I heard them ask her to repeat: “Las tortugas beben leche.” The turtles drink milk. She was embarrassed, but I asked if I could watch for a few minutes. One day, I walked in on her listening to a Spanish audio lesson. I had previously learned in Spain, so it came easy for me, and it had stuck with me for a long time. And I booked all of the activities and spoke with the staff. When we went on vacation in Mexico, I ordered everything that we ate in Spanish. My wife always envied me for knowing two languages. Some bumblebees steal nectar, making a hole near the base of a flower to access the nectar while avoiding pollen transfer. They forage using colour and spatial relationships to identify flowers to feed from. Bumblebees gather nectar to add to the stores in the nest, and pollen to feed their young. Like their relatives the honeybees, bumblebees feed on nectar, using their long hairy tongues to lap up the liquid the proboscis is folded under the head during flight. In nesting bumblebees, it is modified to form a pollen basket, a bare shiny area surrounded by a fringe of hairs used to transport pollen, whereas in cuckoo bumblebees, the hind leg is hairy all round, and they never carry pollen. Nest-making bumblebees can be distinguished from similarly large, fuzzy cuckoo bumblebees by the form of the female hind leg. Harmless insects such as hoverflies often derive protection from resembling bumblebees, in Batesian mimicry, and may be confused with them. They have aposematic (warning) coloration, often consisting of contrasting bands of colour, and different species of bumblebee in a region often resemble each other in mutually protective Müllerian mimicry. Cuckoo bumblebees were previously classified as a separate genus, but are now usually treated as members of Bombus.īumblebees have round bodies covered in soft hair (long branched setae) called 'pile', making them appear and feel fuzzy. Cuckoo bumblebees are brood parasitic and do not make nests or form colonies their queens aggressively invade the nests of other bumblebee species, kill the resident queens and then lay their own eggs, which are cared for by the resident workers. The colonies are smaller than those of honey bees, growing to as few as 50 individuals in a nest. Most bumblebees are social insects that form colonies with a single queen. Female bumblebees can sting repeatedly, but generally ignore humans and other animals. European bumblebees have also been introduced to New Zealand and Tasmania. They are found primarily in higher altitudes or latitudes in the Northern Hemisphere, although they are also found in South America, where a few lowland tropical species have been identified. This genus is the only extant group in the tribe Bombini, though a few extinct related genera (e.g., Calyptapis) are known from fossils. Introductions to New Zealand, spread to Tasmania not shownĪ bumblebee (or bumble bee, bumble-bee, or humble-bee) is any of over 250 species in the genus Bombus, part of Apidae, one of the bee families. The Ardo Calypso is great and I think you will find it to be a good portable pump. So for the pumps you listed, I have tried a few of them. I am so glad you have found this site so helpful! Huge congrats on your pregnancy! My insurance covers the following pumps:Īmeda Mya Hospital Strength Ameda Mya Joy Ardo Calypso Essentials Evenflo Deluxe Advanced Freemie Independence Lansinoh Smartpump 2.0 Medela Pump in Style Unimom Minuet and the Zomee.Īny suggestions would be really appreciated! I also would like something more portable as we plan to travel by RV this summer and may not always have easy access to electricity. I know the Spectra has some of the best reviews, but would like something with strong suction that mimics the natural suction of the baby. With the spectra, I was able to pump a lot of milk in the first few months but eventually stopped responding and only responded to hand expression and nursing. My insurance will cover a second pump, so I’d like to get something else and am hoping you can help. I already have the Spectra S2 from my first child (2.5 years old) and figure I can still use it this time. This has been the most helpful site so far! I am expecting in a few weeks, and not sure which pump to get. Need a pump suggestion? Confused about what fits your situation best? Leave me a comment or question below and let me help you choose! So choose wisely! Click here to read my reviews on various breast pumps and find out which is my favorite! Getting the wrong pump can greatly impact your milk supply and cause an enormous amount of stress. Remember, buying a breast pump is not the time to go cheap just because you think you will get by. Trust me, I come across moms in that situation daily and it’s a costly mistake. You don’t want to be in a situation where you spend money on a pump you need to replace later. No matter what pump you decide on, make sure it fits your situation and needs. There are stronger pumps on the market like the Spectra pumps. The reason? The suction is lower than other top-rated pumps. For a mom who has a low milk supply or will be pumping a lot, not all electric pumps will work for her.įor example, the Ameda Purely Yours is a solid pump by most standards but I would not recommend it for a mom with low supply or who pumps a lot. In each of the above examples, the moms could have chosen from a number of electric pumps. They are not the most expensive pumps but not the cheapest either. They are both portable and have battery power as an option. Are you suffering from low milk supply or need to pump exclusively? A: No low supply.įor this mom, I would recommend: Spectra S1 or Medela Pump in Styleīoth the S1 and Pump in Style are strong pumps, perfect for a mom who needs to keep her supply up when working.Where will you be pumping? Do you need a portable pump? A: Work, need a portable pump. How often will you be pumping? A: Daily. Tag indentation can be configured for each code element. Visual Studio extension for auto-generating Doxygen-style comments in C ++ code. The current codebase (0.65b2) contains non doxygen comments as we've only just started using it. This includes nice things like being able to mark several items as having the same comment (part of grouping), producing lists, links into other classes/methods etc., how to use HTML within the comments etc. The full doxygen manual describes all the various commenting conventions you can use which doxygen will pick up. All commands are noted by Doxygen and pulled out into a single "TODO" list page, which lists all the items across the entire project in one place. Doxygen will produce API docs for any C++ code it is run on, and the maintainer has the option to further elaborate on their API docs by including Doxygen comment blocks within their source code. Within the comment blocks you can also use special commands including the very useful command. It parses C, C++, C and Java code to produce fully formed doxygen comments, and can update those comments if the code element is. Or on the otherhand if you prefer using // style comments, use /// or //! as your comment marker. Jason Williams has written an Addin for Visual Studio 2005 & 2008 which is able to auto-generate doxygen (or DocXml) style comments from most code elements (file, namespace, class, struct, enum, function, etc). If you're not familiar with Javadoc, the main thing you need to know is to use:Īt the start of your comment blocks (doxygen also works with /*!). Therefore, please put doxygen style comments into the code.ĭoxygen comments have the same syntax as Javadoc basically - if you're familiar with Javadoc, go ahead and write header comments as you normally would in Java. as long as you stick to the doxygen comment style. The good news is that doxygen can automatically extract your header comments from the code and use them as a description for the class/method/field they're associated with. Whilst doxygen does a good job of producing diagrams and extracting logical relationships from the code, the documentation can be somewhat hard to digest without any descriptive text to read! Spring gets automatically generated documentation for the source code which can be found here. Setting the STRIPCODECOMMENTS tag to YES (the default) will instruct doxygen to hide any special comment blocks from generated source code fragments.
